Are your attendees history buffs, science nuts or foodies? Or perhaps a little of each?

Visit Baltimore just made life easier for meeting planners with its new experiential program for groups of all sizes and interests. From training dolphins to uncorking fine wines, these 14 exclusive experiences are uniquely Baltimore and come prepackaged with a set price, schedule, and capacity.

To develop the program, Visit Baltimore worked with experiential tourism expert Joe Veneto of Opportunities Unlimited, whose goal was “to allow attendees to go beneath the surface, behind-the-scenes and hands-on to discover Baltimore’s unique story.”

Perfect for any group, the Dolphins 101: The Art of Teaching Dolphins experience gets up to 200 attendees private time before the National Aquarium opens to watch the trainers in a 90-minute session with the aquarium’s eight beloved Atlantic bottlenoses. The cost is $45 per person.

Also at the aquarium, a Veterinarian Tour led by one of the staff vets gives groups a behind-the-scenes look at how they care for the animals. The 75-minute session tops out at 10 attendees and costs $55 per person.

At the Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine, attendees can get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to unroll the 30×42-foot replica Star-Spangled Banner flag on the site where it flew 200 years ago, as they learn about the history of the flag from a National Park Service Ranger. Other experiences range from The Art of Neopolitan Pizza, a hands-on pizza-making session at Verde, to the Science of Wine Uncorked at the Maryland Science Center. Held on the rooftop terrace, the two-hour evening offers an overview on the latest trends in wine-making and delivery systems, as guests sample various wines, including a local vintage.
