The 727-room Marco Island Marriott Beach Resort recently unveiled its new presidential suite, including a 3,000-sf terrace for up to 75-pax. The $1.5 million project renovated the 1,800-sf suite, adding a floating garden against a Balinese wood figurine against a relaxing waterfall. The wrap-around terrace has unparalleled views of the sparkling Gulf of Mexico, a rock fire pit, plush seating and a hot tub. The terrace has a private bar, perfect for cocktail parties and dinners.

The suite includes a private reading room, master bedroom, full kitchen and living room with pool table. For events, use the hand carved Balinese bar with Ipe board walls to create an exotic, beach vibe with soft music, tropical drinks and fresh cuisine. No matter where you’re group is gathering throughout the space, they’ll enjoy a gorgeous view of the ocean and sandy beach.

“Our newly remodeled penthouse suite offers groups an intimate and unique settings for meetings and events,” says Robert Pfeffer, director of sales/marketing. “The suite’s floor-to -ceiling windows allow guests to feel like their in an island paradise with breathtaking views of the white sand beach and Gulf of Mexico. In addition, the 3,000-sf terrace makes for the ultimate outdoor breakout sessions and sunset cocktail events.”

The presidential suite is spacious and comfortable, with possibilities for live entertainment and team building activities. Host a mixology or culinary class on the terrace; enjoy a movie or quick presentation in the living room. The open and airy space boasts tones of light sand and lively greens, personifying the beauty of Florida’s beaches and tropical setting. The interior was designed by EoA Group, a design firm based in Miami, FL.

“We wanted to design an open space where guests could enjoy Marco Island’s natural setting, expansive vistas and breathtaking sunsets,” says Malcolm Berg, President Design Director of EoA Group. “The finished product became an oasis in keeping with the resort’s ‘island within the island’ mantra.”

The Marco Island Marriott is located only 20 minutes from Naples on the west coast of Florida. The location sits on a 3-mile beach, creating the perfect setting for those wanting to relax and enjoy the water, but within a short distance from shopping, nightlife and dining. There are two private golf courses on property and a full spa.

There are nine restaurants onsite, including Kurrents, a fine dining restaurant with an open exhibition kitchen and outdoor fire pit. Make you way down the grand staircase that wraps around an enormous, whimsical sandcastle to enter the expansive dining space. The restaurant includes two private dining rooms, each seating up to 25-pax. Customize a group menu of exquisite seafood, steak and local Florida cuisine with Pan-Asian influences.

Between meetings, book a recreational beach activity onsite, including boat charters, kayaking, snorkeling or jet ski rentals. For a day offsite, schedule a tour of the nearby everglades to view some of Florida’s most exotic native wildlife. Total meeting space is 65,000-sf.
