This week the Hyatt Regency Princeton completed a $19 million renovation, transforming the hotel into a hub for meetings and conventions in New Jersey. The 330-room hotel created an open-air lobby with a 6-floor atrium ceiling to create a social environment among meeting/event groups.
The guestrooms were redone entirely, adding new furnishings with neutral earth tones and linen drapery. The hotel pool and fitness center also received extensive makeovers.
The hotel personifies the natural landscape surrounding the hotel, with relaxing koi ponds, fresh flowers and green shrubbery throughout. The renovation also unveiled the 175-seat Artisan Kitchen & Lounge, a Mediterranean restaurant serving tapas-style dishes, perfect for groups to share. Book the private lounge and sample some of the specialty cocktails and snacks or book the private dining room for a full dinner following a meeting.
The hotel meeting space now totals 32,000-sf after the renovation, adding space for up to 1,200 attendees. The space includes an all-glass private dining space, a Junior Ballroom and 30 meeting rooms.
“This much needed update was really dictated by customer demand,” says Dianne Pepe, director of sales/marketing. “We're ecstatic for our guests to revel in this new look and feel.”
A popular gathering space for post meeting fun is Rising Star comedy club, a popular tradition that has caught the eye of hotel guests and groups since its debut. Offsite activities include tours of Princeton University Museums, six nearby golf courses, D&R Canal Hiking,the McCarter Theater, the Lifecourse Fitness Trail at Community Park and nearby fishing.
