Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate is currently in the midst of an extensive $40 million expansion to its recreational area, guest rooms and conference space that will continue to make the property standout in Florida’s ChampionsGate community.

The Resort Recreational Area will be the first portion of the project to debut in late May. Adding to the resort’s already 15-acre recreational area, the 23,000 sf of additional pool deck and recreational space will include 16 new pool-side cabanas, 400 more lounge chairs as well as an expanded kid’s pool area—not to mention Orlando’s only resort wave pool. This will complete the resort’s existing rec highlights such as the 850-foot lazy river and 125-foot corkscrew waterslide.

Later this fall, the resort will complete its meeting space expansion with an additional 100,000 sf of indoor-outdoor meeting and event space. The resort’s Osceola Conference Center will feature six breakout rooms, named Poinciana, Seminole, Heritage Park, Partin, Lanier and Allendale as a nod to Osceola County heritage. A new outdoor event space will cater to groups with a charming terrace, fireplace, promenade, patio space, event gardens and grand lawn. The new market-style restaurant will also offer breakfast, lunch, dinner and grab-and-go options for attendees.

Lastly, the makeover will include a new three-story building made up of 93, upscale guest rooms that can be configured into two-, three- and four-bedroom connecting units. The building will bring the resort’s total room count to 813 guest rooms and suites, plus 49 two- and three-bedroom luxury villas.

Groups looking for team building options can participate in everything from golf lessons to behind-the-scenes mixology lessons and interactive sushi-rolling and ravioli-making cooking demonstrations. Or groups can give back to the community through Omni’s Say Goodnight to Hunger initiative (a partnership with Feeding America). All group rooms booked in the future, regardless of how the reservation is made, will result in one meal contributed per room night.
