JW Marriott Strikes a Pose Cannes

What could be better than taking a group to the off-the-hook fabulous South of France during Cannes Film Festival? Not taking a group during the festival. That way you can book a big party on the roof of the newly reflagged JW Marriott Cannes, previously known as the “Palais Steph.”

Fresh from a $54 million renovation two years ago, the 261-room property sits smack on the palm tree-lined Plage de la Croisette boulevard running along the beach, within walking distance to the historic old city. The hotel was purpose-built for groups with an 820-seat theater auditorium and 16 meeting rooms totaling 12,900 sf of flexible space. And we promise you’ll love the cosmopolitan rooms with large vintage photography of Sophia Lauren, Cary Grant and friends above the headboards, because we checked them out last year and we love them.

Here’s the thing. Nice, Antibes, St. Tropez and all those other places that seem so Grace Kelly are close enough for brunch. Prices have come way down, and you still might bump into actor Javier Bardem who brings the wife here to shop. Yes, we know, he is delicious.
