Groups in search of a true Americana experience can step aboard American Cruise Lines’ special theme cruises that explore U.S. culture and history.
The cruise line’s fleet of ships already caters to groups with onboard meeting space and enrichment classes, but this year, the company is expanding group business with new dedicated group coordinators alongside group discounts (depending on the group size). “In 2018, American Cruise Lines will grow its fleet to 10 ships with even more under construction,” says Susan Shultz-Gelino, the cruise line’s director of business development. “We are expanding our sales department and group travel strategies to keep up with the brand’s rapid growth.”
That means its easier than ever for groups to explore some of the country’s most cultural and naturally beautiful elements via the same waterways that Lewis and Clark once explored. Here are five themed cruises that highlight the America’s best.
Mark Twain Cruise
Explore Mark Twain’s Americana with a cruise along the Mississippi River. A stop in Hannibal, Mo., Twain’s hometown, is full of references to his literary classics. A Mark Twain impersonator will add to the experience as attendees make their way to the homes of Huck Finn and Becky Thatcher.
Nashville Country & Blues
