USVI, meeting planning

The USVI is an easy place to fall in love with. It has picturesque natural features as well as a rich culture. The charm is apparent all over. You can taste it in the food with dishes like the fish and fungi, conch in butter sauce or fresh pot of kallaloo. You can feel it in the celebrations, with various carnivals, festivals and parties all featuring an array of calypso music and nonstop dancing. The charm of the Territory is especially apparent in quiet moments; just taking in the beauty of the islands and practicing the art of relaxation.

For large groups planning meetings or events, getting a full Virgin Islands experience may seem impractical due to the busy schedule. Therefore, in an effort to share the value and true beauty of the islands to the meetings and incentive industry, the Department of Tourism is offering a rewards program called “Procrastination Pays Off.”

The program offers rewards packages to planners who book reservations for 2015. The various packages offer groups a genuine opportunity to get a more in-depth look at the charm of the USVI . The Caribbean Bronze package, for guests who book a minimum of 15 rooms, includes a cooking class and lunch with a USVI culinary ambassador. The Mocko Jumbie Silver package, for guests who book a minimum of 31 rooms, includes a trip to St. John, snorkeling, swimming and an island tour. The Cruzan Gold package, for guests who book a minimum of 51 rooms, includes an exclusive St. Croix excursion and a dinner reception at a historic building with authentic island entertainment. All packages offer excellent opportunities for guests to experience the island on a deeper level, and understand the USVI’s true beauty.

The packages are only offered at select resorts. Although unique in their own way, each resort takes full advantage of its surroundings, offering seamless integration of natural beauty and modern comfort. If you need to book for 2015, it is worth taking a look at the USVI. Learn more at www.visitusvi.com.
