Groups visiting Bryan-College Station, Texas—home to the main campus of Texas A&M University—can do so in style now that The Stella Hotel opened this spring.

Situated in the Texas A&M Biocorridor, the 176-room property offers easy access to the university as well as more than 20,000 sf of meeting space. Its location in Bryan’s new Lake Walk town center offers attendees access to surrounding waterfront parks adjacent to the 5-acre Lake Atlas as well as shopping and restaurants. Here are just five activities groups can take advantage of in this ultimate college town.

Paddle Boarding

With the hotel’s convenient location adjacent to Lake Atlas, meeting planners can organize water activities through the hotel, which can provide complimentary paddle boards to attendees looking to get out on the lake.

Hiking & Biking

Similarly, the hotel provides complimentary bikes for those attendees who would rather stay on land. The two miles of hiking and biking trails right outside the hotel’s front door keeps groups active after a long day of meetings.

Group Picnics & BBQs

When groups come to Texas, barbecue is a must-have item. The hotel’s Campfire restaurant has a heavy focus on locally raised beef from 44 Farms. Combine that with a team building BBQ feast in the Back Yard multifunction lawn with Campfire’s Executive Chef Zachary Ladwig, and you have a recipe that combines Texas culture with networking. Group picnics are also available at the waterfront park along Lake Atlas.

Live Music & Stargazing Parties

Being in the Texas countryside means groups can organize stargazing parties on the hotel’s Back Yard lawn, with telescopes and local star guide, Dr. Jennifer Marshall of Texas A&M University. On select evenings, the hotel also provides live music at the pavilion.

Back Yard Yoga

The Back Yard has many uses, and another way groups can take advantage of this space is by hosting Back Yard Yoga before, after or even during a meeting as a quick break in the schedule.
