Adding an educational element to your MICE event is a great way to ensure attendees remain engaged long after the event ends. Singapore’s rich cultural heritage and forward-thinking mindset provide numerous opportunities for dynamic, hands-on educational sessions. Here are a few to consider for your next MICE event:

Tiger Brewery Tour

Four ingredients, five steps, six beers. With 80 years of brewing under its belt, the Tiger Brewery Tour explores Singapore’s heritage through six iconic beers. From milling the malt and mashing to storage and packaging, groups will experience local brews of international acclaim while experiencing fun and interactive educational sessions, learning the art of brewing and perhaps trying their hand at tapping the perfect pint of draught beer in the Tiger Tavern. The adventurous in your group may even enjoy a taste of the “wort,” or a sip of beer before fermentation occurs.

Centre for Urban Greenery and Ecology (CUGE)

Jointly established by the National Parks Board and the Singapore Workforce Development Agency, CUGE provides professional skills training programs and advanced expertise on urban greenery and ecology. Groups can learn how urbanization and rich landscape biodiversity can co-exist, partake in any number of certificate-based programs to become a horticulturist, arborist and more or delve into workshops and seminars on grassroots topics such as pruning plants, interpreting soil and applying tourism knowledge to nature.

Singapore City Gallery

The 270-degree panoramic sights and sound show, interactive and experiential exhibits and awe of one of the largest architectural models in the world draw over 200,000 people every year to the Singapore City Gallery. The gallery explores Singapore’s transformation over the past 50 years. Groups have much to explore here including dynamic exhibits, streetscapes by local artists, and an 8-player SingCity game where groups must work together to meet the needs of the city-state.

Marina Barrage & Gallery Tour

Singapore’s first reservoir in the city weaves together greenery with urban vibrancy. Situated in the heart of the Marina South district, the Marina Barrage has numerous spaces to meet in a hip, sustainable urban atmosphere such as the Central Courtyard and panoramic Green Roof, which is four times the size of a football field. Tours are available and the water in Marina Basin is unaffected by the tides, making it ideal for all kinds of recreational activities such as boating, kayaking and dragonboating.
